Brenda Cueva

Community Prevention Specialist

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! I stepped into the role of Community Prevention Specialist in March 2023. Since then, the Wapato Wellness Coalition has expanded community partnerships, launched local prevention campaigns, and increased community awareness around youth wellness and substance misuse prevention.

My passion lies in removing barriers that prevent youth from reaching their fullest potential. Prevention education plays a key role in this work, and I believe every young person and their family deserves the tools and resources to thrive. True prevention happens when an entire community comes together.

I love meeting new people and working collaboratively to make a difference. Let’s connect!

Student Assistance Professional

Hello, my name is Cristin. I have been with the Wapato School District since 2021. I oversee the Student Assistance Program at the Wapato High Schools. This program is intended to offer prevention and intervention services to students.

I find it valuable that all students have support systems to help them as they are maturing and navigating through life. As students are making big choices and decisions, I feel like it’s important to provide them with the proper tools and guidance to make healthy choices that will help them become successful adults.

Student Assistance Professional

Hello! My name is Jasmin Andrade, and I’m proud to serve as the Student Assistance Professional at Wapato Middle School. I’m passionate about empowering students to reach their full potential by offering both prevention and intervention services through individual meetings and engaging group activities.

I believe that every student is unique, and my mission is to provide them with the tools, confidence, and support they need to thrive, both in school and in life. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where students feel heard, valued, and encouraged to ask for help when they need it.

By helping students build self-confidence, develop strong coping skills, and make positive choices, I hope to inspire them to make healthy and meaningful decisions for their future.
