friends for life campaign:

This campaign is meant to inform and educate people about what illicit fentanyl is and how it’s affecting Washington. It provides tools and resources on how to help teens avoid opioids like fentanyl, how to spot and respond to an opioid overdose, and  how to access and use naloxone (Narcan).

Family Programs Offered

strengthening families 10-14:

“Parents want to protect their children, but it’s challenging. Youth need skills to help them resist the peer pressure that leads to risky behaviors. Research shows that protective parenting improves family relationships and decreases the level of family conflict, contributing to lower levels of substance use.”

Community Events

National take back days:

National Take Back Day is an opportunity for community members to safely-dispose of any unwanted, expired, and/or unneeded medications from their homes. This is a national effort to prevent and educate our community on medication-misuse. We hold 2 annual take back events, one in October & another in April!

Youth-Centered programs

Student-Led prevention club:

The Student-Led prevention club is established in the Wapato High School. The purpose of this club is to promote health and wellness, help peers feel like they’re not alone, create a positive environment, bring awareness to substance-use prevention & much more! The student group worked on creating a name they felt best suited their work, that’s how “One Voice” came to life.
